Kernel Pakete werden entfernt??

Halli, hallo, hallöle...

Hab nen kleines Problem: beim Aufruf von
  aptitude install locales
kommt u.a. die Meldung:

Das macht mich doch leicht nervös, da zu den automatisch entfernten Paketen
"kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386" gehört. Es wird aber kein aktuallisiertes Kernel
image wieder installiert.

Was tun? Ich habe die Befürchtung, daß der Rechner nicht mehr bootet, wenn ich
hier weiter mache.

AUA! Jetzt wollte ich eigentlich abbrechen, default Eingabe war ja auch
"[No]", aber die initrd-tools sind trotzdem entfernt worden. Nach einem
"apt-get update" sind sie wieder installiert worden. Aber ich traue mich
nicht, die Maschine zu booten.

Könnt ihr mir sagen, was da passiert und ob ich sorglos booten kann?

Werde derweil auch mal googeln ...
