Hi,

I wonder if you can help me a bit with syslogd?

The problem that I have is that I donīt get syslogd to write to a file.
I'm starting 'syslogd -m 1' to get marks to /var/log/messages but it always
forces itself to write output to /dev/console.

My /etc/syslog.conf contains one line: "*.* /var/log/messages".
The conf file is tabed with no space. Itīs no difference if I use any other
.conf file from already running systems.

Any suggestions?

/C
