Hi Martin,
thank you for great program cvs-mailcommit - it was all we
need ;-)
We want to run it on Solaris, so I have some Requests for
enhancements, most of which I've made as a patch and I
recommend to include it in distribution:
Included in the patch:
- location of sendmail changed to more standard location (it
is on Debian exim, it is in Solaris -> it is a standard! ;-)
/usr/lib/sendmail
- added option --cvsbin - to use other cvs than the one in
PATH (usable on Solaris)
- added option --cvsfrom to use mail header from in form:
CVS User cvsuser <passwduser>
- change --diff and --full to use CVS commands, not RCS
commands
Not included in the patch:
- give some option to change sendmail location
e.g. opt_sendmailbin, or opt_sendmail
- if this option is "-", use standard output instead of
sendmail (we are using it because we use also "tee" to
some other log).
- do beter Depends & Recommends in the Debian package:
Old:
Depends: postfix | mail-transport-agent
Old missing:
Depends: postfix | mail-transport-agent, rcs
New (something like):
Recommends: postfix | mail-transport-agent
Depends: cvs
Thanks.
Regards,
Lada Dobias
