xcdroast ist doch eh nur ein Frontend zu cdrecord.
Kommt das mit 'nem aktuellen cdrecord nicht klar? (Ich bin gerade nicht
neugierig genug, um mir das zu kompilieren.)

 X-CD-Roast. A patch from Helmut Jarausch fixes a problem with mkisofs.
 Again I remind you, that you can use X-CD-Roast with the new cdrtools
 (including the free DVD-support, without the need for a key) when you
 copy the binary from "cdrecord" to "cdrecord.prodvd" and start
 X-CD-Roast with the "-n" option (to skip the version check).

Wobei mkisofs ja bei den Audio-CDs eher rein gar nichts zu suchen hat.
Dafuer ist die aktuelle Version schlappe 3 1/2 Jahre alt ...
Oder nutzt Du gar wodim/cdrkit/whatever?
Hast Du mal ein anderes Frontend getestet?
