Ich habe das jetzt mal ausprobiert und erhalte folgende Fehlermeldung:

$ cdparanoia -B

/dev/cdrom exists but isn't accessible. By default,
cdparanoia stops searching for an accessible drive here.
Consider using -sv to force a more complete autosense
of the machine.

Wie gesagt Backups brennen mit mkisof und cdrecord geht ohne Probleme,
und Audio CD's kann ich mit xine abspielen.

Scheint also technisch alles in Ordnung zu sein.
