Hello everyone!

The Mini-Debconf Hamburg will be held from May 16-20 at Fux, Hamburg,
Germany. It will cover topics for Debian users, contributors and
developers. For more information about the conference, see
https://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/de/2018/MiniDebConfHamburg.

** Call For Proposals Reminder **

We are still accepting talk proposals until April 30. As we plan to
publish the preliminary schedule soon afterwards, we do not plan to
extend this deadline. Send your proposals to
cfp_at_minidebconfhamburg.debian.net.

Regular sessions may either be 20 or 45 minutes long (including time for
questions), other kinds of sessions (like workshops) could have
different durations. Please choose the most suitable duration for your
event and explain any special requests. Suggested topics include:

    * Debian usability
    * Cloud and containers
    * Security
    * Packaging
    * Automating with Debian
    * Debian social
    * New technologies & infrastructure

This list is not exhaustive, and anything not listed here is welcome, as
long as it's somehow related to Debian. If in doubt, propose a talk and
we'll give feedback. The intention is that talks are held in English but
if you don't feel comfortable giving a talk in English, please let us
know.

Please include a short title, suitable for a compact schedule, and an
engaging description of the event. Please provide us with information
such as additional speakers, scheduling restrictions, or any special
requirements we should consider for your event.

The sessions will be recorded on video and these recording will be
released under a suitable free licence.

** Sprints **

The first two days of the Mini-Debconf will be dedicated to hacking,
general bug squashing and targetted sprints. So far, four sprints have
signed up:

 * Debian Edu
 * Security Team Sprint/Meeting
 * Debian Perl Group
 * Reproducible Builds

Further sprints are welcome!

** Registration **

Registration is still open, please register at
https://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/de/2018/MiniDebConfHamburg/Registration.

See you in Hamburg!

Michael, for the mini-Debconf team
