It's not realistic to assume that no-one has soldiers. Even if you are
peaceful yourself, some evil entity will have less problem with using
force; you can then insist on still not using force to defend yourself but
you will be assimilated by the other party in no-time then. Your position
to never use soldiers doesn't work in a world where not everyone shares
that position.
Anyway, this argument is not really on topic here, and if it appearently
offends some people to have soldiers on the cover, it's not a good choice,
even if there are other people who don't mind. If you can appease more
people with a different cover, it makes sense to do that.
