Speaking about posters, how about a bigger sized debian flyer[1] as poster?
So that people don't have to pick up the flyer in order to see what's it
about. When they are interested, they will pick up the flyer. This might
also decrease the amount of flyers people will take away, because some
might notice that they are not interested anyway, so they won't pick one
up and throw it into the next bin once they've read the first few
paragraphs. It might also drag some additional attention to the booth.
