I just tried to scale the developers map from the debian web page to A0.
As expected the pixels where large as houses. A test image produced with
xearth at 2000x1416 pixels was not bad in A0. The problem is xearth
doesn't display markers when generating gif or ppm output. One would need
to make screenshots at different -shift values.
Is there a real map drawing tool? I heared about GMT but couldn't find it
so far. Last year I got the map made at a firm specialised on
computerbased geographics. But as I don't work there anymore...
I can try to make a new map. But as I haven't much time for that before
June 26th I would suggest we use the old map as default (it seems to
still exist) and I try (my best) to produce a new one.
